Can you mount a TV on plaster-and-lath walls?
Yes — plaster walls are common in older central-CT homes. We locate studs carefully (plaster hides them from cheap stud finders) and use hardware and techniques that prevent plaster blowout.
Do you hide the cables in the wall?
We offer two options: a paintable surface raceway (quick and clean) or an in-wall pass-through where the wall cavity allows it. We'll recommend the best option for your wall and budget.
Is mounting above the fireplace okay?
Sometimes. We'll measure the height, check viewing angle, and look at heat exposure. If it's a bad idea for your setup we'll say so and suggest a better wall — we'd rather talk you out of a mount than install one you'll regret.
Do I need to buy the mount?
You can buy your own, or we can supply a quality full-motion or fixed mount matched to your TV size — just tell us when you book so we bring the right bracket and hardware.
How long does it take?
A standard drywall mount with cord concealment usually takes under an hour. Brick, stone, or in-wall wiring runs take a bit longer.
